Our Events Summer Half Term - Wton HAF - 18/08/22 - 12pm Thursday 18th August - 12.00pm - 1.00pm We are excited to host our Animal Handling and SEN Play, for children of Wolverhampton who have a HAF Code and have a Special Educational Need (and their siblings), funded by the City of Wolverhampton Council. Each sessions will allow your child to get close to our animals and handle them. They may even get the opportunity to feed some of our animals (if it is feeding time!). Some of the animals we have in session can include: Rabbits Guinea Pig Rat Snake Tortoise Cockroaches Bearded Dragon Chameleon Millipedes African Land Snails Please make your way through to our Community Aquarium upon your arrival and you will be greeted by a member of the Community Team just before your session begins. Book your ticket below to secure your child's place. Please note you must book a ticket per child, all data taken is a requirement of the City of Wolverhampton Council. Parents/carers are also required to stay for the whole session. Please ensure you have your HAF QR Code available upon arrival to gain access to our event. Is there a cost? No, these sessions are funded via the Wolverhampton City Council Holiday Activity Fund. How can I find out what my HAF code is? Please email the Holiday Activity Fund Team at the City of Wolverhampton Council on [email protected] Will we see all of the animals? We provide a range of animals for each session, however you may not get to see them all in the same session as we rest our animals to make sure they are well cared for. Is there parking available? Yes, we have FREE parking available on a first come first serve basis. Do you have a virtual tour, so I can share this with my child? Yes, we have a SEN Coordinator, who is also trained in Makaton, and Animal Handler who specialises in Animal Welfare. How many children are in the group? We have no more that 10 children in each group so that we can allow for more interaction with our animals and for them to play on our sensory equipment. Have you got an accessible toilet?
