Meet the Team

Job Role: Community Projects Manager 

Name: Hannah Dixon

Favourite Animal: Cats 

Responsibilities: 

Hannah looks after the day to day running of HugglePets in the Community. Hannah works with the community and voluntary organisations to ensure the best service is available to support people with poor mental health and special educational needs. Hannah looks after everything from applying for grants, attending consortium meetings to organising fundraising galas. 

 

Job Role: SEN Co-ordinator 

Name: Kate Elwell

Favourite Animal: Dogs

Responsibilities: 

Kate is responsible for supporting all programmes and events both at HugglePets Centre and in Schools. She is responsible for safeguarding and impact reporting and has over 10 years experience of working with Children and Young People. Kate is also a qualified Mental Health First Aider for Young People. 

Job Role: Animal Handler

Name: Meghan Price

Favourite Animal: Rabbits

Responsibilities: 

Meghan looks after all of our animals here at HugglePets in the Community, she feeds them, cleans out their 'bedrooms' and ensures they are loved and exercised. Meghan illustrates how to hold and love our animals in our workshops and helps people learn about the different types of animals. Meghan has qualifications in Mental Health Awareness and a Degree in Animal Behavioural Management and is currently studying Animal Assisted Therapy. 

Job Role: Animal Handler

Name: Lee Hyett

Favourite Animal: Goats/Fish 

Responsibilities: 

Lee looks after all of our animals here at HugglePets in the Community, especially our big range of fish in our Community Aquarium, he cleans out their tanks and ensures they are fed and cared for. Lee illustrates how to hold and love our exotic animals in our workshops and helps people learn about the different types of animals. Lee has over 12 years experience working with animal, and holds a series of animal handling and exotic animal qualifications, he also holds a First Aid certificate and is undertaking his Certificate in Mental Health Awareness. 

Job Role: Animal Handler

Name: Dave Lockey

Favourite Animal: Slow Loris

Responsibilities: 

Dave looks after our range of reptiles here at HugglePets in the Community, he looks after their enclosures and ensures they are fed and cared for. Dave has won awards for painting and has over 20 years working with reptiles, He is passionate about supporting his community, especially the mental health of children and young people. 

Job Role: Therapist 

Name: Alicia Lindsay 

Favourite Animal: Dog

Responsibilities: 

Alicia is responsible for supporting the children, young people and adults who enrol onto our programmes for Animal Assisted Therapy/Interventions. She is passionate about animal assisted therapy, and works along with Luna the Therapy Dog. She is also a Supervisor for Childline NSPCC.
