How we help Our Schools St. Mary's Catholic Primary School St. Mary's Catholic Primary School, based in Wolverhampton undertook the HugglePetsCIC Animal Assisted Intervention Programme to help improve the wellbeing of their pupils following the pandemic and closure of schools. Having chosen the 'Anxiety and Low Mood' six week programme for their pupils, they noticed a considerable difference in the moods, behaviours and overall wellbeing of the children within a couple of weeks of attending our sessions. Feedback from Pupils include: I like these sessions because it makes me feel more comfortable! - Finley, 10 years old I really like the animals and doing the activities - Teagan, 8 years old Teagan, with Georgie the Bearded Dragon Ted & Cara, with Georgie the Bearded Dragon Tilly, with Millie the Therapy Rabbit Finley & Tilly, with Georgie the Bearded Dragon Teagan & Demi-Leigh, with Woody & Twiggy the Stick Insects Ted & Cara, with Georgie the Bearded Dragon I think it was great! - Cara, 7 years old Feedback from Teachers include: Tilly has not had as many emotional experiences in the last few weeks, she has told me she has enjoyed the sessions. Class Teacher Cara is excited every week and at the end of the day can't wait to share what she has done. Cara is a lot more talkative than she was at the start of the year.
